Wedding Planning during COVID-19
2020 the year that we were quarantined- that sounds so crazy doesn't it? This year was supposed to be one of the best years for planning a wedding since most of the holidays fall on a Friday, Monday or weekend. The reality of the situation is that we have no control over what is going on. What we can do is make the best of the time that we do have. In our opinion, this is a great time to plan for your wedding. Let us explain...
1. Vendor rates are lower - with all the uncertainty, a lot of vendors are offering great deals for their services. You could book their services under the lower rate and if your event is postponed till next year, then at least you are locked in with the better deal.
2. Time is on your side - normally, wedding planning is rushed since we know we have a certain amount of time to get things done before our big day. Currently, brides are pushing their dates out or postponing their weddings all together. Trust us when we say, USE THIS TIME! So many times have we heard from brides saying that they wish they could of changed this or that about their wedding. Pinterest or hashtag searching on Instagram can keep you busy for hours at a time.
3. Black lives matter - not only are we going through a pandemic but also racial inequality. Support in any way you can by booking vendors that support the BLM movement.
4. Quality vendors - vendors are spending this time working on their internal processes, restocking and improving quality of service. Prior to the pandemic, it took a long time to get a call back. Everyone is on their P's and Q's - a benefit we can all appreciate!
